Viking Cove
Secluded and luxurious, Viking Cove is the perfect location for any special occasion. Located on a twelve acre private peninsula just south of Haines, the surroundings offer a spectacular backdrop for weddings, family reunions, and group retreats. There are three newly remodeled buildings nestled in the woods with accommodations to make any group event extraordinary. Whether hiking at the beach, relaxing by the fire pit, paddling on the cove or walking in the woods, guests will enjoy an adventure only Viking Cove and Alaska can offer. The guest rooms accommodate up to 20 guests. The property is located approximately eight miles from downtown Haines with access to the sheltered beach in Viking Cove. The Public Spaces:
The entire twelve acres is available for your wedding. The property can handle 150 or more guests, depending on the type of event. Vahalla Hall is approximately 2500 sq. ft. with 4 large farmhouse style tables and lighting, plus a covered outdoor patio. A public sauna & restroom is located in House #1. Outdoor areas include the firepit, the beach, and the woods.
The Accommodations:
House #1 Raven: a luxury second floor studio apartment with full kitchen, bathroom, wi-fi. gorgeous view. Two queen beds.
House #1 Chinook: a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment with a kitchenette, bathroom, wi-fi, deck, gorgeous view. King bed in one bedroom, two queens in the other bedroom.
House #1 Crow: A covered patio, steps away from the cove, surrounded by forest and adventure in all directions Crow has a shared bathroom. On the ground floor, this room is perfect for a family with a full bed on the main floor and two xl twins in the loft.
House #2 Bear: An upstairs room with a queen bed and twin bunk beds plus a private bath. It has a view of the grounds, a peek of the cove & is surrounded by lush forest.
House #2 Moose: A ground floor room with two full beds plus a private bath with shower.
Pricing includes lodging for up to 20 guests and use of the entire grounds for the event.
$2500/night
plus 8% tax plus $1750 refundable damage deposit and $500 cleaning fee
Minimum stay 4 nights
FINE PRINT:
50% deposit due at time of booking
Balance due 60 days in advance
Cancellation Policy:
$750 commitment fee is totally non-refundable
Cancellations made more than 120 days in advance will receive a 50% refund
Cancellations made between 120-60 days in advance will receive a 25% refund
Cancellations less than 60 days in advance are totally non-refundable
Viking Cove COVID cancellation policy: in the event of a government-ordered lockdown or ban on domestic travel we will offer a full refund. Any other COVID-related cancellations will be subject to our standard cancellation policy

Basic Policies:
• No pets
• No Smoking (outside is okay in designated areas)
• Check in 3:00 PM
• Check out 11:00 AM
• No daily cleaning.
• MID STAY CLEANING REQUESTS GLADLY ACCEPTED
FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $25.00 per room/$50.00 with bed change.
• Towel service policy: complimentary laundered towel service provided after a three day stay when requested. If you would like towels laundered prior to that, the cost is $5.00 per set of towels, charged to your room.
We live in a peaceful place. Please be mindful of our neighbors, other guests and limit activities and noise that would be disruptive.
We live in a wild place. It goes without saying that bears, moose and other wildlife do not have boundaries and wander Alaska, including the Viking Cove Guest Home property. Please be aware of your surroundings while you enjoy Alaska. Do not leave anything out that might attract animals (garbage, bait, fish, etc.). Be respectful of any wild animals' space and do not approach, for your safety and theirs.
Anyone engaging in risky behavior or causing injury to themselves, others or damages to property is personally liable and financially responsible for any injury or damages incurred.
Viking Cove accommodates a total of twenty (20) overnight guests for your gathering, reunion or business group needs. Please feel free to ask about other lovely Haines venues nearby if you need accommodations in excess of this number.
